Indonesia |
For seven months I was fortunate to call Indonesia home. A country of lush green landscapes, bustling cities, spiritual bliss, and vibrant culture.
A contract with a CIDA development project brought me to Makassar, Sulawesi for four months in late 2014. In the new year I went on a 45 day backpacking trip which took me to Bali, The Gili Islands, Flores, Java, and Sumatra. On this trip I saw the sun rise over volcanoes, came face to face with Komodo Dragons and Orangutans and enjoyed plenty of sun on the beach. My final months were spent in Ubud, Bali obtaining my yoga teaching certificate. |

As much as I love international travel, I think its extremely important to get to know your own country. You can't appreciate where you go if you don't really know where you come from.
Whether its by road trips, hiking, visiting friends, or living in new places, Canada is full of adventure waiting to be found! This beautiful country has so much to offer and here are some of the great things its offered to me so far… though I know this is just the beginning. |

Famous & EducationalMacMillan Provincial Park is home to the infamous Cathedral Grove and, though soaked, I did manage to take a quick jaunt along the short and accessible trails to bring you a little info and a couple photos.

Plentiful & PeacefulStrathcona Provincial Park has so many wonderful short and long hikes to offer. We only had a quick winter's day here but it is for sure my favourite place on the island.
