Day Five and Six

Finishing up The ceiling and walls

Day five and six were both half work days on the bus. Phil and I used the afternoon to make a little extra money by shovelling the roof of a family friend. We made the most of the half days though and finished up both the ceiling and wall removal.

The hardest section of the ceiling, the rear panel, was left for last as we strategized what to do with the back wall. The lower section of the back wall came off similar to the other wall panels but around the window and in the corners required Phil to use the cutting blade on the grinder. We still aren't sure if we will keep the two back windows or weld a piece of metal in their place. For the sake of heat, removing the windows would be a smart idea, however, we don't want to lose too much light.

Phil was so happy to finally get this last ceiling panel off. It came off in one big piece.
