Bits and Pieces
Today I joined in again full tilt after enjoying a couple half days of work. We did some final small tasks to get down to the floor that were a little more time consuming then expected. It seemed like every time we did something small we’d find another small thing to do after it.
Its getting to the point that I really want a change of scenery, for too long the bus has looked the same with the gross yellow insulation, dusty walls, and old flooring exposed.

We removed the driver seat as one of our projects today. Our driver seat is in great shape and the bolts were easy to come up. There was a little rust around where it was attached but nothing to be too concerned about.
For the floor of the drivers section we followed the line the black rubber flooring left in front of the drivers seat. We were able to unscrew the black mat and role it up to trace later for a new protective rubber flooring of our choosing later. Where it covered, we left the wood and grey rubber intact and will only insulate and run the new flooring from it, to the back.
Lastly we started poking around at the consul of the bus, where all the gauges and buttons, and radio, etc are. Our bus has a beautiful consul, with no work needed; it is surprisingly clean and new-looking, therefore we only pulled off a few small sections which allowed us better access to the floor and black mat and will leave everything else intact. We think this is a safe decision.
