The MaddAdam Trilogy, Margaret Atwood
Margaret Atwood is one of my absolute favourite authors. She approaches human relationships is such a raw and honest way that you can't help but relate to her characters, even in their darkest and most extreme moments. The MaddAdam trilogy is made up of Oryx and Crake, The Year of the Flood and MaddAdam. The books explain the end of the world as we know it from a not so distant future and the finer points of rebuilding a society while dealing with the horrific leftovers from the previous. The saying about those who forget their history being doomed to repeat it comes to mind often… as well as a deep fear for the possible approach of the future she warns us of. |
