Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup unsweetened apple cause
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 almonds, chopped
- 1/4 cup ground flax seed
- 3 tbsp canola or vegetable oil
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400'F and grease a loaf pan lightly with butter
- In a large bowl mix together flour, oats, brown sugar, almonds, flax, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt
- In a smaller bowl whisk together egg, apple sauce, milk and oil
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and combine until all dry ingredients are moistened, careful not too over stir
- Pour battre into loaf pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, until an inserted toothpick comes out clean and dry
- Cool on a wire rack about 10 minutes before serving
