Liquid Dish Soap is very similar to Liquid Hand Soap, however, the purposes are very different and so the small changes in the recipe are important. Using a liquid soap with glycerin for example on dishes will leave them greasy. This is my tried and true, tested, recipe for the perfect dish soap with the right amount of suds and strong cleaning ability that won't leave a soapy residue on dishes.
Similar to my Liquid Hand Soap Recipe, I use my own handmade bar soap for this recipe. Feel free to use any bar soap of your preference, but keep in mind the more basic and natural the bar soap is, the better the dish soap will be for dishes.

Directions
In a sauce pan, boil water. Once it has reached a boil, reduce heat to a simmer and add in grated Bar Soap. Stir gently until it has dissolved. Once dissolved remove from heat and stir in Washing Soda until it as well has dissolved. Lastly, add Liquid Soap and gently stir again until combined. Remove the mixture from heat and allow to cool. Once the mixture has reached room temperature add Essential Oils and Tea Tree Oil.
Notes
- Find a scent of Essential Oil that goes well with the smell of the Tea Tree Oil or that masks it easily.
- Washing Soda, as well as being a great cleaning agent, is a thickening agent in the soap. With this in mind, if you add more to increase the cleaning ability of the soap, also consider adding more water as well.
